Coldplay mural

In celebration of Coldplay’s historic three-night run at Eden Park during their Music of the Spheres World Tour in November 2024, we commissioned Jonny 4Higher, a graffiti and mural artist, to create this Coldplay masterpiece.

As a venue that is renowned for its association with black, the #MOTSWT mural certainly adds colour to our national stadium.

The artwork reflects the deeper meaning behind Music of the Spheres, which lead singer Chris Martin has linked to the band’s earlier work Mylo Xyloto (2011). The concept explores the idea of artists existing across the universe, using celestial bodies as metaphors for human experience. Johnny’s installation is a celebration of Eden Park’s commitment to diversity and inclusion for all of Auckland and New Zealand.
