Celebrating P!NK at New Zealand’s National Stadium

Location: Service tunnel

Eden Park hosted three-time Grammy-winning singer and pop sensation P!NK for two iconic concerts in March 2024. P!NK was the first female to headline at the venue – a particularly significant achievement given the meteoric rise of women’s sports over the past 18 months at Eden Park’s three Women’s World Cups.

The stadium and Tāmaki Makaurau were awash in a sea of pink to welcome P!NK and promote equality, inclusion and diversity. Fittingly, the first of the two shows was performed on International Women’s Day.

In P!NK’s own words: I can’t stop smiling. Thank you to everyone who partied with us at the #SummerCarnivalTour across New Zealand. The gravity of being the first female to headline Eden Park, New Zealand’s national stadium, isn’t lost on me. Getting to do it on International Women’s Day made it even sweeter.

To celebrate this significant moment in the stadium’s history, artist Marcus Watson was commissioned to create a P!NK mural at the stadium. The original, displayed proudly in the Players’ Tunnel, also features neon light detailing by Radikal Neon.
