Event-day information for Coldplay
Coming to Eden Park for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour? Here’s everything you need to know.
Conditions of Entry
To ensure all patrons attending Coldplay can enjoy the concert safely and comfortably and to protect the rights of our patrons, entry to Eden Park is subject to the following conditions of entry and regulations.
Key timings
5pm: Public gates open
5.30pm: Support acts including Shone, Emmanuel Kelly and Ayra Starr will start
Please note that times are approximate and subject to change. We recommend arriving as early as possible.
Event and ticketing information
Get your tickets ready
To make entry as quick as possible, make sure you download and add your tickets to your mobile phone’s wallet before you arrive at Eden Park.
If you are coming in a group, make sure to share your digital tickets before you arrive and enter.
It is a Tour requirement that all patrons, regardless of age, requires their own ticket. This includes infants.
No cash, card only
Eden Park is a cashless venue. Please make sure you bring your card for all food, drink and merchandise payments.
Pack light
- No bags larger than 21cm x 30cm (A4 Size) will be permitted inside the stadium.
- Flags, signs, and banners will be allowed into the stadium provided they do not have poles and do not contain any political content.
- Umbrellas are not permitted into the stadium for safety reasons. Rain ponchos and jackets are recommended.

Pass-outs
- There are no pass-outs. If you leave the stadium during the concert, you will not be allowed back in.
The Coldplay Experience
Pixmob LED wristbands
- Each patron will receive a compostable, plant-based plastic LED wristband as part of the Coldplay experience. The wristbands will synchronise with the music during the show. These will be distributed at every gate upon entry and collected at each gate upon exit. All the batteries and any broken wristbands are then recycled.
Moon goggles
- Upon entry, each patron will receive a pair of Moon Goggles (3D glasses) along with their wristbands. The Moon Goggles enhance the immersive experience of the special effects during the show and are yours to keep.
Energy dance floors and bicycles
- For General Admission Standing patrons, there will be energy-generating stationary bikes and kinetic dance floors which harnesses the energy of fans as they dance or cycle to power Coldplay’s batteries which they use on their tour. The energy dance floors and bikes will be located on the General Admission floor.
Mercury bikes
- Electric Tuk Tuks will be on the streets surrounding Eden Park between 4pm & 8pm. The circular route they take is Cricket Ave, Reimers Ave, Sandringham Road and Walters Road helping patrons get to the entry gate on their ticket. While these are open to help everyone, we will be prioritising the elderly and those with mobility challenges. Plesae note, the Mercury Bikes will be operated by trained drivers and will not be available for the public to operate.
Getting to Eden Park
There are a number of ways to get to Eden Park for Coldplay:
Public transport
We recommend using public transport. Your concert ticket gives you free transport to and from Eden Park on all regular scheduled bus, train services and special event buses.

Coldplay fan trail
The fan trail is a fun, interactive walk starting at 4pm, with activities happening from 5pm to 8pm. The 4.5km route begins at Te Komititanga Square in downtown Auckland and ends at Eden Park, passing through iconic spots like Queen Street, Aotea Square, Myers Park, and Karangahape Road. Along the way, there will be stops offering live entertainment, performances, food & drinks, and opportunities to engage with transport ambassadors and learn more about the event.
Bike Valet
Arriving at Eden Park by bike? Roll up to the venue and enjoy our free Bike Valet service. The Bike Valet opens at 5pm at Kowhai School.
Precinct road closures
Due to the expected size of the crowd for the shows, many of the streets surrounding Eden Park will be closed or have residents-only parking in place. Please refer to our Traffic Management Plan.

Drop-off
Ride-sharing services and drop-off locations are located at the Dominion Road end of Bellwood Avenue and Morningside Drive. We recommend you enter one of these locations as your destination. Please refer to our Traffic Management Plan for exact locations.
Accessibility
Eden Park is committed to providing the highest quality accessible services for all our patrons.
Parking
Mobility parking cannot be booked and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The mobility parking is located on Cricket Avenue and can only be accessed via Walters Road. This parking is only available for ticketholders with a valid mobility parking permit. Please avoid parking across the drop kerbs, which are in place to assist wheelchair users.
Sensory Room
The Access Community Health Sensory Room for patrons is located in the South Stand, Level 3.
Sound sensitivity
Eden Park has two Kennards Hire Sound Sensitivity Stations that dispense free earplugs on a self-serve basis. One station will be permanently located in the South Stand, Level 3 adjacent to the Access Community Health Sensory Room. Please ask one of our spectator services team members for the location of the portable station.
Hidden disabilities
If you or someone you are with has a hidden disability, you can wear a Hidden Disability Sunflower lanyard, pin or bracelet to discretely let our team know that you might like some extra assistance or care. Please keep in mind, this will not help you get through our entry gates faster.
If you require a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard, these are available from all gates on an event day, and from Gate G on a non-event day.
Parents of young children
- For entry, all patrons, regardless of age, will require their own ticket for safety reasons. This includes infants.
- Please be aware that we do not have designated baby-changing facilities available onsite.
Arriving and Entering: Gates open at 5pm
Queuing is not permitted until after 9am on each concert day, and camping is strictly prohibited at Eden Park.
If you wish to queue early, we recommend you:
- Head to the correct entry gate listed on your ticket
- Have enough food and drink throughout the day. Alcohol is not permitted.
- Be aware and prepared that queuing spaces are not sheltered
Please note that patrons under the age of 15 should not be left in the GA queue without a responsible adult present. Security will not be responsible for keeping the order of the line and cloaking of chairs or large items will not be permitted.
Patrons are strongly advised against bringing chairs, pillows, umbrellas and mattresses if arriving early to queue for the GA floor. These items will not be permitted into the Stadium and CANNOT be cloaked.
Limited food and beverage items will be available for sale outside the venue on the day of the concert.

Gate entry
If you have General Admission floor standing tickets, you will need to enter through the gate specified on your ticket.
Security procedures
Bags will be checked and wanding of patrons will be conducted at all entry gates to Eden Park. To reduce delays, please avoid bringing bags where possible or restrict the size to no larger than 21cm x 30cm (A4 Size).
Patrons with GA Standing tickets will receive a wristband on entry to access the field
Have your tickets ready to scan
Have your tickets downloaded to your mobile phone wallet before you arrive at Eden Park. If you are in a group, please share your tickets so everyone has their own ticket on their mobile device.
I have GA Standing tickets, what do I need to know?
General Admission Floor Standing tickets are suitable for patrons who are comfortable standing during the concert.
If you have General Admission floor standing tickets, here’s what you need to know:
- You will need to enter through the gate specified on your ticket. Please refer to the Stadium Map to find out where this is located.
- The location of your allocated standing section on the field is indicated on your ticket. Patrons ticketed to these sections will receive a coloured wristband to access the specific area.
- Only patrons with wristbands will be permitted access to the general admission field area.
- Personal non-glass non-thermos water bottles (unbreakable vessel) up to 1 litre or a 1 litre maximum are permitted as long as they are empty. Be aware lids of personal drink bottles will be removed before entering the floor.
- Beverages purchased within the stadium will be decanted before heading to the floor.
- No portable seats or chairs will be permitted inside the stadium.
Please see below for some helpful safety tips while in the GA Standing areas:
- Footwear must be worn at all times, bare feet will not be permitted
- Keep hydrated
- If you require assistance, please speak to one of our team members
- First Aid assistance is available on the GA floor. Speak to a team member for assistance if required
- Moshing, crowd surfing and being elevated by others (or similar behaviour) is strictly prohibited.
Inside the Stadium
Food and beverage
- Bars and food outlets will be available throughout the stadium.
- Water fountains are located throughout the stadium
Merchandise
Merchandise will be available to purchase from outlets inside and outside Eden Park. Please refer to this merchandise map for locations.
No smoking or vaping
Eden Park is strictly a no-smoking and no-vaping venue.
Dancing and standing
Our priority is the safety of all our patrons. We encourage everyone to enjoy themselves and we expect people will want to stand and dance throughout the show. Please keep the aisles and walkways clear and be considerate of those around you. Standing on seats and sitting on the shoulders of others is not permitted.
Lighting and visual effects
Please be aware the show will contain flashing lights and other lighting effects.
No cash. Card only.
Eden Park is a cashless venue. Please make sure you bring your card for all food, drink and merchandise payments.
Need to charge your phone?
There are phone charging stations on the Kennard’s Hire Community Oval and on Level 3 of the Samsung South Stand.
Storing items
There are no cloaking or storage facilities at this event. We recommend leaving bags larger than A4 size and all restricted/prohibited items at home.

Local Legend Eats: Offers burgers, bites and fries made with locally sourced ingredients. Their fried chicken burger has become super popular, and we only use free-range, halal thigh fillets, marinated in our signature buttermilk.
M&L Seafood: Mussel and Whitebait fritters, fish burger, beef burger, hot dogs, chips
Roti Bros (GF): Gourmet pies made of roti and curry fillings

Leaving the concert
At the end of the concert, please be patient and follow the directions of our team.
Please respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum and discard any rubbish in the bins provided inside the stadium precinct before leaving.
