With a sold-out crowd of over 44,000 packing Eden Park on Saturday to watch the Blues take on the Chiefs in the DHL Super Rugby Pacific final, fans are encouraged to plan ahead, arrive early, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere that makes Super Rugby extraordinary.

Your Game Plan

Pre-match

  • Arrive early! Gates open at 5pm. To avoid queues at gates and ensure you don’t miss any of the action, plan to arrive well before kick-off. You can also enjoy pre-game entertainment – a live band and DJ will be banging out the tunes from 6pm – and soak up the pre-match atmosphere.
  • Bring your card – Eden Park is a cashless venue!

  • To help fans with sound sensitivity, or Blues fans who might need to block out the sound of the Chiefs cowbells, the Kennards Sound Sensitivity Stations dispense free earplugs.

  • Grand Final presentation
  • After it’s all wrapped up, head to Kingsland or Dominion Road to celebrate the win and enjoy what our local businesses have on offer.

With 23 food trucks and all the food & beverage outlets open, no matter what you are craving there will be something to suit every palate, including those with dietary requirements. The Champion Burger with chips is expected to be very popular – they’re available for purchase at all Ground Grill outlets throughout Eden Park.

Getting to & from Eden Park

  • Public transport is definitely the best option. Free public transport on buses and trains is included in your match ticket – plan your journey at the AT Journey Planner.
