Eden Park’s Powerade G9 tournament cancelled due to State of EmergencyJan 28, 2023
Due to the State of Emergency declared in Auckland, Eden Park has cancelled the annual 3-day Powerade G9 tournament, which was scheduled to start on Tuesday 31st Jan.
Eden Park CEO Nick Sautner said, “We know this news will be disappointing for all the participants who had booked a tee time for this popular event, however, our priority is the health and safety of the staff, contractors and patrons of Eden Park.
“We are committed to ensuring the stadium remains fit-for-purpose for our upcoming events calendar. We acknowledge that this is a difficult time for many Aucklanders, and our focus is now on contributing to the recovery of the region”, said Nick.
All G9 ticket holders will receive an email from Ticketek providing details on obtaining refunds for their tickets.
Nick adds “We are already looking at securing a date for our 2024 Powerade G9 tournament, which transforms the hallowed turf into a unique nine-hole golf tournament.
“We’d like to thank all our partners for their commitment to this event and for understanding the decision we have made to cancel it for 2023,” said Nick Sautner.
