One of the greatest bands of all time, Guns n’ Roses will make history next Summer on Saturday December 10, 2022 as the first ever international concert act scheduled to play at Eden Park.

“This is a truly historic announcement,” said Nick Sautner, Eden Park Chief Executive. “Guns n’ Roses are the definition of rock royalty. Their legendary music has been played across generations, making them one of the best-selling acts in history and we’re really excited to have them play at Eden Park in what promises to be an epic three hours of iconic music.

“This concert will be a true celebration of a new post-COVID19 era, providing much-needed entertainment and economic benefit to Auckland. We anticipate a massive response to the addition of this Auckland show and know that the fans both locally and across New Zealand will not want to miss out.”

Axl, Slash and Duff have told fans…’New Zealand, we can’t wait to see you bigger and better next Summer!’

Paul Dainty AM, President & CEO of TEG Dainty said today, “I’m thrilled that Guns N’ Roses will be the first international concert at Auckland’s iconic Eden Park – The Gunners are going to create a bit of history bringing the biggest stadium rock tour of 2022 to Auckland next summer.”

Nick Sautner added “Following the success of our first concert in 2021, we’ve had an overwhelming level of support from our community, with 94% of those we surveyed wanting us to deliver more entertainment experiences for Kiwis while also providing extensive employment opportunities for both Auckland and the wider economy.”

“Eden Park is New Zealand’s national stadium. It is both a historic and strategic asset for the country and a community asset for Auckland. Capable of hosting over 50,000 people we can host a range of regional and national events and stage world-class concerts like the Guns n’ Roses show which deliver significant economic, social and cultural benefits for Tamaki Makaurau and Aotearoa New Zealand,” said Nick Sautner.

Like all stadium events, the Guns n’ Roses concert will be required to adhere to Eden Park’s strict resource consent conditions and the Government’s COVID-19 guidelines in place at the time of the event.
