The All Blacks are set to defend their 52-test unbeaten streak at The Fortress twice in 2026 as they take on Ireland and Australia in two epic rugby matches at Eden Park, the home of rugby in New Zealand.
On 18 July the All Blacks will face Ireland as part of the Nations Championship, followed by a Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia on 10 October. Both fixtures promise world-class rugby moments in front of sold-out, passionate crowds at New Zealand’s national stadium.
Eden Park CEO Nick Sautner said the venue is delighted to host another chapter of All Blacks history.
“Eden Park has been the backdrop to many of the most memorable moments in All Blacks history and we are proud to host two more iconic test matches in 2026. The Fortress holds a special place in global rugby and the All Blacks remarkable 52-Test unbeaten record here reflects that.”
Ireland’s visit will be their fourth to Eden Park since 1976. They have never won at the venue, although the rivalry between the teams has become increasingly competitive in recent years. The sides last met at Eden Park in 2022. The unbeaten streak will then be tested again when the All Blacks meet an Australian team determined to lift the Bledisloe Cup for the first time since 2002.
Sautner added “These two fixtures will see tens of thousands of fans fill our stadium on back-to-back occasions, creating an electric atmosphere that only Eden Park can deliver. Ireland and Australia always bring intensity and passion, and there is no better stage for these rivalries.”
NZR CEO Mark Robinson said the 2026 schedule creates unique opportunities for both players and fans.
“The Bledisloe Cup is a hugely important trophy to the All Blacks, as is the team’s record at Eden Park, and our home fans will no doubt play their part again in the Tests against Ireland and Australia.”
All Blacks Head Coach Scott Robertson added that the team embraces the challenge at Eden Park.
“We will walk toward the challenge of defending our record at Eden Park against Ireland and Australia.”
