The Wahs are coming to the Wah-Den of Eden.
Eden Park is preparing to welcome close to 50,000 passionate league fans for what is set to be the biggest NRL game ever staged in New Zealand when the Warriors play the Newcastle Knights as part of the NRL Telstra Premiership Finals Series on Sunday 20 September.
Kick-off is at 6.05pm with tickets going on sale Monday at 12pm for members and general public tickets on sale on Tuesday at 12pm via nrl.com/tickets.
The excitement will begin well before kick-off, with Eden Park’s Outer Oval transformed into a vibrant Warriors fan zone from 1.00pm. Supporters of all ages can enjoy live music, entertainment, activities, food and beverages as the build-up to this historic match gathers momentum.
Eden Park Chief Executive Officer Nick Sautner said the occasion would be a celebration of the Warriors and their extraordinary supporters.
“We want every Wahs fan to feel at home at Eden Park. From the moment the gates to the Outer Oval open at 1.00pm, the precinct will come alive with music, activities and entertainment as we build towards kick-off,” Mr Sautner said.
“With close to 50,000 fans expected, this has the potential to be the biggest NRL game in New Zealand history and one of the most memorable sporting occasions our country has witnessed.
“The City Rail Link will help bring fans directly to the Wah-Den of Eden, with Kingsland Station located immediately beside the stadium. We encourage everyone to arrive early, enjoy the fan experience and help create an atmosphere worthy of this historic final.”
The match represents an opportunity for Warriors supporters from across Auckland and throughout New Zealand to unite behind their team on the game’s biggest stage.
