Special Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses

Jehovah’s Witnesses have a rich history in New Zealand going back more than 120 years. Their conventions have been held in the country since 1912. This three-day event is expected to attract more than 20,000 people, including 3,500 delegates from 20 countries.
All of Jehovah’s Witnesses’ conventions, meetings, Bible study aids and videos are free of charge and available to the public. No collections are ever taken.
What size bag can I bring?
All bags — including lunch bags – must be small enough to fit
under your seat. Bags must be no bigger than 43cm width, 30cm high. Please note: Bags may be checked at entry by Eden Park Security Staff.
Can I buy food at the stadium?
There is no provision for purchasing food inside the venue. Please bring everything you’ll need for the day. You’re welcome to bring your own food and drink for personal use, including store-bought items. You may also bring a sealable, refillable water container (up to 1 litre, unbreakable). There are 18 water stations around the stadium for easy refills. No glass bottles or glass containers.
What are the seating options at the venue, and should I bring sun protection?
Both the North & South Stand have adequate seating that is both in the sun & shade. If you wish to sit in the sun, it is recommended that you bring a hat and necessary sun protection. If you bring an umbrella, please ensure it doesn’t block the view of others.
