Eden Park proud to host Super Rugby Aupiki season final
Apr 8, 2024Home of Blues Rugby, Eden Park will host the 2024 Sky Super Rugby Aupiki season final on Saturday, 13 April, that sees the nib Blues take on Chiefs Manawa. Kick-off is at 4.05pm.
Eden Park CEO, Nick Sautner said, “Eden Park is home to Blues Rugby, and as an inaugural sponsor of the nib Blues, we’re delighted the team will be playing their final game of the season at New Zealand’s national stadium.
“We have supported the nib Blues since their inception in 2022 – a connection that underpins our commitment to investing in the growth of Super Rugby in New Zealand. Saturday’s game will be a historic moment in the teams’ journey and a great opportunity for fans to watch some of the best female rugby players in New Zealand compete for the esteemed 2024 title.
“Women’s rugby has seen a huge growth in popularity and this weekend’s final builds on the momentum of the three women’s world cups held at Eden Park over the past few years, including the very memorable 2022 Rugby World Cup final with the Black Ferns becoming world champions at the Fortress.
“We’re encouraging every rugby fan to come to Eden Park this Saturday for a Super Rugby clash that celebrates the essence of the competition. Family-friendly match timing and ticket prices ($10 for an adult and $5 for a child) will make this an extraordinary afternoon of rugby,” said Mr Sautner.
Gates open at 3.30pm with kick-off at 4.05pm.
