Conditions of Entry: Special Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses

  • Eden Park is a vape- and smoke-free environment. Some vaping and smoking areas are designated on the roadside boundaries of the carparks.
  • Intoxicated persons are not permitted to enter the Park
  • Breathalysers may be used and enhanced searches may be carried out

In the interests of safety:

  • Bags may be checked on entry
  • Footwear must be worn at all times     
  • You must comply with the instructions of Convention Attendants and stadium staff at all times
  • Children under the age of 14 years must be supervised by an adult at all times

You are able to bring the following items into Eden Park:

  • Guide dogs or assistance animals
  • Commercially-produced food intended for your personal consumption
  • Sealable and refillable water containers (unbreakable vessels; no glass) up to 1 litre which can be refilled within the stadium at one of the water stations
  • Bags, including those containing lunch, that are small enough to fit under your seat [430mm x 430mm and 300mm high are the maximum dimensions]
  • Strollers/pushchairs (these cannot be left in the seating areas but there is provision for storage close to Gate D at the eastern end of the concourse, and on Level 6 of the South Stand (for patrons to store these items during the Convention at their own risk)
  • Umbrellas
  • Wheelchairs and mobility scooters

The following items are not permitted into Eden Park:

  • Any alcohol or Illicit drugs of any kind
  • Animals or pets, with the exception of guide dogs or assistance animals
  • Chairs, other than wheelchairs
  • Glass bottles, any breakable container
  • Knives and dangerous weapons, including replicas, or toys resembling a dangerous weapon
  • Flares, fireworks, laser pointers
  • Skateboards, roller blades, scooters (other than mobility scooters) or bicycles
  • Cameras and/or specialised photographic equipment intended for commercial use, unless it is specifically approved by Convention Administration
  • Sound amplifying devices including loudhailers, air horns or similar devices
  • Any other item which the Eden Park Staff or Convention Attendants (at their sole discretion) deem to be a prohibited item which may be a danger to, or inconvenience to, any other patron
  • Any drone, unless specifically approved by Eden Park and Convention Administration
  • Prohibited items will be confiscated

Patron, Bag and Vehicle Searches

  • For the safety of all people who attend Eden Park, all patrons and their possessions may be subject to a search prior to being granted entry into the stadium
  • Patrons and their possessions may also be searched during an event and when leaving the stadium
  • All vehicles entering and leaving the Stadium may be searched
  • All prohibited items will be confiscated
  • Bags small enough to fit under a seat are permitted

Dress Code

  • Clothing must conform to reasonable standards of decency
  • Any clothing that is considered to be obscene or offensive or out of harmony with the convention program is not permitted
  • Footwear must be worn at all times
  • No gang patches are permitted

Refusal of entry

You may be refused entry to the stadium if you:

  • Appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs/alcohol
  • Appear to have violent intentions, or appear to intend to disrupt the convention in any way
  • Refuse to comply with requests from Eden Park staff or Convention Attendants
  • Attempt to bring a prohibited item into the stadium
  • Are wearing clothing that is considered to be obscene or offensive

You can be evicted from the stadium if you:

  • Are intoxicated, or appear to be becoming intoxicated
  • Are verbally or physically abusive
  • Throw any object
  • Attempt to, or appear to attempt to, disrupt the Convention program or operation in any way
  • Enter or attempt to enter any area designated as off-limits by either Eden Park or Convention Administration
  • Are distributing or attempting to distribute material contrary to the Convention Program
  • Behave in a disorderly or offensive manner, or in a manner contrary to public order
  • Refuse to comply with requests from Convention Attendants or Eden Park staff
  • Are in possession of a prohibited item
  • Breach any part of the terms of the Venue Regulations and Conditions of Entry
  • Commit any act deemed a crime in New Zealand Law

Trespass notices

  • Patrons are not permitted to access the playing surface at any time, other than Accredited Volunteers approved by Convention Administration
  • Any invasion of the playing surface will result in eviction from the stadium, and furthermore shall, at the sole discretion of the venue, result in a trespass notice which will prevent the patron from attending further fixtures at the stadium for a period of either 24 hours or 2 years whichever is applicable.

General

  • All patrons entering the stadium do so at their own risk

Note

Failure to comply with a direction from event management staff at Eden Park or NZ Police to leave the stadium may render the patron liable to arrest and prosecution for the offence of trespass under Section 4 of the Trespass Act 1980, as amended, which is punishable on conviction by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 3 months in terms of section 11 (a) of the Trespass Act 1980, as amended.
