These nine images draw from the world of professional football to explore themes of masculine identity and behaviour. While hints of the sporting context remain, wider reading is invited through close cropping of source images and a focus on each athlete’s individual experience. These works invite us to consider sport as a vehicle through which healthy definitions of masculinity can be constructed, role modelled and embraced.
