Enjoy an enviable vantage point
The Rooftop Walk includes some of the best views of Auckland with insights on the city’s iconic landmarks provided by our friendly guides who also have an intimate knowledge of the history of Eden Park.
The tour will encompass parts of the stadium even its famous sporting heroes haven’t seen. This unique experience is topped off with the perfect photo opportunity from the lean-out platform situated 34 metres above the hallowed turf!

When does the Rooftop Walk operate?
The Rooftop Walk starts at 1pm, 7 days per week. Corporate bookings at other times are available on request, please send us an enquiry using the form below.
How much does the Rooftop Walk cost?
Adults are $89. Children 14 and under are $50. Family (2 adults + 2 children) is $199.
Is the Rooftop Walk kid-friendly?
The Rooftop Walk is kid-friendly. There is however a minimum height to participate in the Sky Sport Rooftop Walk, which is 95cm.
Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Ratio requirement: 1 adult for every 2 children.
Can I book a private function on the Rooftop Walk?
Absolutely! The Rooftop Walk is a great option for your next team-building activity, birthday party or other function.

When should I arrive for my Rooftop Walk?
Please arrive to your tour 30–45 minutes before it begins. This is essential for ensuring your full health & safety briefing can take place.

Will this go ahead in cold or wet weather?
We are lucky that we can operate in most weather conditions. Our custom jumpsuits can withstand wind and rain.
If Auckland is experiencing severe weather conditions, our experienced tour guides will decide if a tour needs to be postponed. Your safety always comes first.
What happens if my Rooftop Walk has to be postponed?
Our friendly team will help you reschedule your walk for another day. If you are unable to reschedule due to travel plans taking you away from Auckland, we will refund you.
Can I park at Eden Park?
Parking at Eden Park is free; however, on match days there is no parking in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. This will be clearly signposted but please plan your visit in advance by reviewing our event calendar before your tour.
Can I take my camera or phone with me on the Rooftop Walk?
Due to health and safety regulations, no loose items may be carried up that could fall.
You’re very welcome to take a camera, smartphone or GoPro-style video recorder which is safely attached to your clothing or harness by a strap or lanyard. This will need to be checked and signed off by the guide before the walk.
If you don’t have a strap or lanyard for your device, at check-in ask our team about our ‘phone bungees’.
Is the Rooftop Walk wheelchair accessible?
Due to safety restrictions the Rooftop Walk is not wheelchair accessible. If you have a disability preventing you from participating in the Rooftop Walk we invite you to consider our Stadium Tour to learn more about New Zealand’s national stadium.
How long does the Rooftop Walk take?
In total, the experience lasts around 75 minutes.
Is the Rooftop Walk safe?
Yes – the Rooftop Walk is delivered in partnership by the Eden Park Trust and Total Property Service special height division TPS Phase 1. The Phase 1 team lead the sector in height access consultancy, training, project management of height access installations and more.
This experience is AdventureMark Safety Audit certified, the internationally recognised standard for the highest levels of safety in adventure activities.
Terms and conditions
Cancellation Policy
Partial or full cancellations must be made a minimum of 72 hours before the activity date. All partial or full cancellations must be requested in writing.
Cancellation within 72 hours or a ‘no show’ will incur a 100% charge and no refund of prepayment.
The cancellation policy will be enforced therefore Eden Park Trust recommends that the appropriate travel insurance be considered.
Refund Policy
If, for some reason, you are unable to do the Sky Sport Rooftop Walk we will first try and reschedule your walk for another day.
If we are unable to reschedule your Sky Sport Rooftop Walk, we will issue you the full refund.
This could be for one of the following reasons:
- You are leaving Auckland within 24 hours and won’t have time to return to do the activity
- We are fully booked and unable to reschedule your walk before you leave Auckland
- The crew has identified a reason you cannot complete the walk. This could be but is not limited to: being too young, being over the maximum weight limit or not being able to navigate through the lowest or narrowest part of the walk.
Fitness requirements and weather
- A general level of fitness and be physically and medically fit to take part
- No specific training is required before the Rooftop Walk, however, you will be given a safety briefing and guidance from your guide on the day
- Height restrictions for Rooftop Walk – minimum height of 95cm to take part
- All children under the age of 14 years need to be accompanied by an adult. Ratio requirement – 1 Adult per 2 children.
- Rooftop Walks are subject to weather conditions
We are committed to delivering a safe and enjoyable experience. We take all care to ensure your safety, however, there are inherent risks in the nature of our activity. To ensure your safety, guests must follow the instructions of our team at all times, be physically capable of undertaking the activity, and not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Risks may include being exposed to inclement weather conditions, slipping and falling from height which may result in hypothermia, sun stroke, common colds, bruising, cuts, serious injury or death.
